Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) are massive bursts of plasma and magnetic fields from the Sun that can significantly disrupt space weather. When a CME reaches Earth, it can disturb the planet’s magnetosphere, triggering geomagnetic storms that affect satellites, GPS signals, radio communications, and power grids. These storms can also intensify auroras and increase radiation levels in space, posing risks to astronauts and spacecraft.
I collaborated with scientists and subject matter experts, turning these findings into a storytelling accordion booklet. Each panel builds on the last—visually unfolding how a CME originates from the Sun, travels through space, and ultimately affects life on Earth. I created vibrant illustrations in contrast against the dark colors of space.
